Terms of Use

These Terms of Use are the ground rules for using the Knockvio website and app — both what you may do on the platform and how we expect you to behave in the field when you prospect with it. They form part of our Terms & Conditions. If anything here conflicts with the Terms & Conditions, the Terms & Conditions control.

1. Use the platform honestly

• One person per account or team seat — don't share logins.
• Don't create multiple accounts to abuse free trials, promotions, or team invites.
• Don't impersonate another person, brokerage, or company, or misrepresent your licensing status.

2. Respect the doorstep

Knockvio helps you knock smarter — never use it to knock where or when you shouldn't:

• Honor posted "No Soliciting" and "No Trespassing" signs and leave promptly if asked.
• Follow municipal canvassing and soliciting bylaws, including permit, registration, or licensing requirements and restricted hours — these differ city to city in both Canada and the U.S.
• Respect community do-not-knock lists, condo and gated-community rules, and any "do not contact" note you or your team have recorded against an address in Knockvio.
• Knock at reasonable hours and identify yourself and your brokerage honestly, as your real estate regulations require.

3. Contact people lawfully

• Calls & texts:scrub against the U.S. National Do Not Call Registry and Canada's National Do Not Call List before telemarketing calls, and get the consent required by the TCPA and CRTC rules before automated calls or marketing texts.
• Email: comply with CASL (consent, identify yourself, working unsubscribe) for messages to Canadian recipients and CAN-SPAM for U.S. recipients.
• Honor every opt-out promptly and record it so you don't repeat it.

4. Handle other people's data with care

• Only enter personal information you collected lawfully; keep notes factual and professional — write every note as if the homeowner could read it.
• Don't store sensitive personal information (government ID numbers, health details, financial account numbers) in Knockvio.
• If a contact asks you to correct or delete their information, do it.

5. No discrimination

Never use Knockvio to target, exclude, or steer prospects based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, disability, or any other characteristic protected by the U.S. Fair Housing Act, Canadian human rights legislation, or your local law.

6. Don't break the platform

• No scraping, bulk-extracting, reselling, or sublicensing the Services or their data; no building a competing product from them.
• No reverse engineering, probing, or circumventing security or rate limits; no uploading malware or interfering with other customers.
• No automated access except through interfaces we officially provide.

7. Enforcement

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Use, as described in the Terms & Conditions. Serious cases (e.g., threats, fraud) may be reported to authorities.

8. Report abuse

If you believe someone is misusing Knockvio — or if a Knockvio user contacted you and you want it to stop — email support@knockvio.comand we'll look into it.
