Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Knockvio ("Knockvio", "we", "us") governing your use of the Knockvio website, web application, and mobile applications (together, the "Services"). By creating an account, checking the agreement box at sign-up, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms, our Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Services.
1. Who can use Knockvio
You must be at least 18 years old and a real estate professional (or otherwise authorized to use the Services for their intended purpose, such as a member of a real estate team). You are responsible for complying with the rules of your licensing body, real estate board or association, and brokerage. If you accept these Terms on behalf of a team or company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
2. Your account
Keep your login credentials secure and confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. Each seat on a team plan is for one named individual and may not be shared. Tell us immediately at support@knockvio.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Teams
A team leader who creates a team account manages its seats, invites, and billing, and can view team activity as described in the product. Team members joining with an invite link occupy a seat paid for by the team leader. If you leave a team (or a team is dissolved), your access may convert to a solo account or end, depending on the plan.
4. Trials, subscriptions & billing
- Free trial. New accounts include a 14-day free trial. No payment card is required to start. When the trial ends, continued access requires a paid subscription.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period (monthly, or as shown at checkout) until canceled. Team plans are billed per seat.
- Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from your account settings or by emailing support@knockvio.com. You keep access until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
- Price changes.We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
- Taxes. Prices exclude applicable taxes (e.g., sales tax, GST/HST/QST), which are added where required.
Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
5. Your data — you own it
The leads, contacts, notes, pipeline, and other business content you put into Knockvio ("Customer Data") belong to you. You grant us a limited license to host, process, back up, and display Customer Data solely to provide and support the Services. We do not sell Customer Data and we do not use it to train AI models. You can export your Customer Data (e.g., as CSV) at any time, and deleting your account permanently removes it from our production systems as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Prospect & contact data — your responsibilities
Customer Data often includes personal information about other people — homeowners, prospects, and clients. For that information, you are the data controller and Knockvio processes it on your behalf. You represent and warrant that you:
- collect and record personal information lawfully and, where required, with appropriate notice or consent (e.g., under PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25, Alberta/BC PIPA in Canada, and applicable U.S. state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA);
- honor requests from your contacts to access, correct, or delete their information, and any opt-outs from further contact;
- do not enter sensitive personal information (e.g., government ID numbers, health or financial account details) into free-text fields.
7. Field & communications compliance
Knockvio is a tool; how you prospect is up to you — and on you. You agree to comply with all laws and rules that apply to door-to-door and outbound prospecting where you work, including:
- Door knocking:municipal soliciting/canvassing bylaws and permit or licensing requirements, posted "No Soliciting" / "No Trespassing" signs, community do-not-knock lists, gated-community rules, and trespass laws;
- Calls & texts:the U.S. TCPA and Telemarketing Sales Rule, the FTC National Do Not Call Registry, and Canada's National Do Not Call List (DNCL) and CRTC Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules;
- Email & electronic messages: Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) — consent, sender identification, and a working unsubscribe — and the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act;
- Real estate rules: your provincial/state licensing regulations, REALTOR® codes of ethics, and advertising rules, plus fair housing and human rights laws (no targeting or steering based on protected characteristics).
These rules vary by state, province, and municipality — check the ones that apply where you knock. Our Terms of Use set out the specific conduct we require on the platform.
8. AI features
Elite plans include AI features (our co-pilot, Nova). AI output is generated automatically, can be inaccurate or incomplete, and is not legal, financial, or professional advice. Review AI-drafted messages and suggestions before acting on or sending them — you are responsible for everything sent from your account.
9. Acceptable use
You agree to follow the Terms of Use, which prohibit things like unlawful, harassing, or discriminatory conduct, scraping or reselling the Services, abusing free trials, reverse engineering, and interfering with other customers. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate them.
10. Intellectual property
The Services — including software, design, logos, and content we provide — are owned by Knockvio or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for your business while your subscription is active. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
11. Third-party services
The Services rely on third-party providers (e.g., hosting, authentication, maps, payments). Their availability is outside our control, and your use of any third-party service linked from Knockvio is governed by that provider's own terms.
12. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that map, homeowner, or property data is accurate or complete.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knockvio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for all claims arising out of the Services is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; where consumer-protection law grants you rights that cannot be waived, those rights are unaffected.
14. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold Knockvio harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Customer Data, your prospecting activities, or your breach of these Terms — including claims that you contacted someone unlawfully or mishandled their personal information.
15. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Services in a way that creates risk or legal exposure for us or others. Where practical, we will notify you and give you a chance to export your data. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, disputes) survive termination.
16. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose law gives you the right to sue at home (e.g., Quebec), nothing here takes that away.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product and the law evolve. For material changes we will give you reasonable advance notice (e.g., by email or in-app). Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept them; if you don't, cancel before they do.
